Berlin-based artist Jan Vormann has been repairing crumbling facades with LEGO and he is doing that for almost 10 years now. The artist has been jamming cracks, gaps, and holes with the Lego and in the process has inspired and encouraged others to do the same all over the world, and now people are sharing the photos.
In an evolution of the project, Vormann has started Dispatchwork which follows, documents and catalogs people around the world using LEGO to ‘reclaim their share of the public space’.
For more on this ongoing project as well as a map of pictures and locations around the world of LEGO patchwork, check out dispatchwork.info or follow the project on Instagram.
