Real Life Monsters From Your Nightmares

Ever heard about coconut crab? The coconut crab is really a monstrous creature best suited for a horror movie but I can guarantee you they are very real.

A relative of the hermit crab, the coconut crab is land based. These bad boys can grow up to 3 feet wide and weigh up to 10 pounds.

They can live for up to 60 years. So don’t start owing one money because that debt will not go away.

They can climb trees, so there is no escape. Unless you head to water, because ironically – this crab cannot swim and would actually drown in water.

Did we mention they can climb trees?

A coconut crab can crack open coconuts with their claws, so also don’t challenge them to a thumb war.

There is something inherently fearsome about creatures that possess an exoskeleton. 

They are not generally considered dangerous to humans, but that is likely because everyone is too afraid to talk about them in case they overhear.

They are the largest terrestrial arthropod in the world.

There are records of them ambushing young chickens even kittens.

That is one terrifying critter.
