Between 1927 and 2003, the Mail Rail worked below the city of London and only took mailbags to be delivered. Because of this, many people who live in London don’t even know that this train even exists.
The Mail Rail ran 80 feet below the city streets and took up to 30,000 mailbags each day. Today, the Postal Museum has taken its place.
