Apple has released one of the best commercials that wasn’t shown during the Super Bowl. The ad is also a short film. It’s called 1.24.14, and it was made to celebrate the 30th birthday of the Mac. Apple launched the first Macintosh computer on January 24th, 1984.
The video was shot around the world on January 24th, 2014, and it was shot entirely on about 100 iPhone 5s smartphones by 15 crews across the world to capture “people doing amazing things with Apple products.” It was directed by Jake Scott, who is Ridley Scott‘s son.
