Both the engine pairs to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Renault Captur is the next-gen compact SUV, which is an upgraded version of the current model and is expected to be launched in India during the festive season of 2017. The model will provide various options to choose from and will be priced at Rs. 12 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh.
The updated version of the Captur gets a revised design with a futuristic styling. The smoothly designed body looks more appealing with the glossy colour options. While the interiors look luxurious packed with latest accessories and equipment to assist better driving experience.
It is expected to feature the power mechanism of the Renault Duster with the options of a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.6-litre petrol engine for an improved performance parameters. The transmission option for the petrol unit will feature a 5-speed manual gearbox, while a 6-speed manual gearbox for the diesel unit. Moreover, the options of a 2WD and a 4WD will also be available.
Mahindra XUV300, the 5-seater SUV is to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018 and is expected to be launched in the mid of 2018. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 8.5 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh.
The new model will be built on the Ssang Yong’s X100 platform with some unique styling of the Mahindra. The exterior will feature a new grille, freshly designed bonnet and headlamps with LED projection. The inside cabin of the vehicle will be equipped with latest features and a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood, the model will be provided with the option of a diesel and a petrol engine. A 1.5-litre petrol engine will produce a maximum power output of 100 bhp and a peak torque of 140 Nm, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine will churn out a maximum power of 100 bhp against a peak torque of 240 Nm. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Nissan Kicks is a compact SUV from the Japanese automaker and is expected to be launched in the festive season of 2018. The price tag will be starting from Rs. 8 lakh for the base model and will go up to Rs. 15 lakh for the range-topping models.
The Indian-spec version of the car will borrow its design from the Renault Captur with a sharp-looking front fascia with a honeycomb grille surrounded by chrome. The ground clearance is higher with rear bumpers. The interior of the range-topping models is expected to feature a lot of comfort and connectivity features. The 7-inch infotainment system will be equipped with the latest technology with safety features to aid safer driving experience.
The upcoming model for the Indian market is expected to receive both the diesel and petrol 1.6-litre engines of the Duster. Though the details of the model for India is yet to be revealed.
The new Volkswagen Polo is expected to be launched sometimes in 2018 in India. It will be priced starting from Rs. 6 lakh for the base models and goes high up to Rs. 11 lakh for the range-topping models.
The sixth-generation model is built on the new MQB platform with fresh design and stylings. The front profile looks aggressive with a redesigned grille and slimmer headlamps.
