Macy from “Shameless.”

Continuing the saga after the intense events of 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes transports audiences into a future where one ape is determined to thwart the spread of Caesar’s teachings, which threaten to enslave other ape clans in a quest for hidden human technology. Simultaneously, another ape embarks on a personal journey for freedom, encountering a young human woman after witnessing his clan being taken by a rival group.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Owen Teague expressed his excitement for the film, stating, “This was the first time that I’ve left set and been like, ‘This is going to be awesome. We made something that’s completely amazing.’ I hope that’s true. God, I’m gonna look pretty stupid if it sucks, but I have complete confidence in everyone who’s working on that film.”

The Planet of the Apes franchise, originally launched in 1963, has undergone multiple reboots over the years. The current timeline, including the upcoming Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, began in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, followed by 2014’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes. Rupert Wyatt directed the first installment, while the second and third were helmed by Matt Reeves.
