It is no secret that the flagship phone will have its traditional LCD screen replaced with the newest OLED displays. It is also expected to have facial recognition combined with display Touch ID and wireless charging. The circular home button may be gone along with the headphone jack, and the touch ID will be embedded in the screen.
According to Engadget, an insider from the accessory industry holding complete CAD file of the oncoming iPhone 8 has revealed some details even though they were unable to disclose any images:
“The most obvious takeaway here is the dual camera’s new orientation, and that both the microphone plus the flash will be part of the camera bump. While the contour may look familiar, the back of the device will actually be covered in glass this time, which allows for the integration of wireless charging. This is hinted by what appears to be a carved out area for a wireless charging coil on the underside of the chassis.”
The release date of iPhone 8 is not confirmed yet, but it is expected to come out around September 2017 around the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone. According to the UBS analyst Steven Milunovich, the price for the 256 GB iPhone 8 will be around $1,070. Apple fans are desperately waiting for the phone and see how much of the rumors are actually true. Analysts say this year’s iPhone will outsell all of its predecessors.
