Netflix has recently unveiled the highly-anticipated trailer for Beef, a dark comedy series produced by A24 and starring the dynamic duo of Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. The series is set to premiere on April 6th and promises to be a hilarious, yet poignant exploration of two strangers’ existential crises.
The trailer showcases a fateful road rage incident between Danny, played by Yeun, and Amy, played by Wong, that ignites an unexpected feud between the two. Beef was created, executive produced, and directed by Lee Sung Jin, best known for his work on the hit shows Dave and Silicon Valley. In Beef, Yeun plays Danny, a struggling contractor with a chip on his shoulder, while Wong portrays Amy, a successful entrepreneur with a seemingly perfect life.
