The Old Town of Lijiang is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Lijiang City, Yunnan, China. The town has a history going back more than 800 years and was once a confluence for trade along the old tea horse road. It is famous for its orderly system of waterways and bridges.
Travel photographer Trey Ratcliff took this photo back in 2011 at sunrise. The rooftops seem to endlessly extend into the horizon. In the distance you can see Jinhong Mountain.
