Ryan Reynolds Parodies Bernie Sanders Meme Into Deadpool

The actor shared a meme of the Vermont senator from Wednesday’s presidential inauguration in which Sanders, 79, went viral for sitting alone with his arms crossed and in mittens.

In the photo, Sanders’ image is superimposed next to Reynolds’ Deadpool from the 2016 film.

A mix of A-list stars has included Sanders’ meme in their own social media photos, which includes Sarah Jessica Parker who photoshopped the senator into a Sex and the City still.

On Friday, Sanders laughed of the meme-related attention he has gotten, “It makes people aware that we make good mittens in Vermont,” according to NBC News’ Garrett Haake.
