Sony Has Unveiled Project Q, a Handheld PlayStation Streaming Device

Sony recently made an exciting announcement about Project Q, an upcoming portable PlayStation device set to be released later this year. While it may not be the highly anticipated return of the PlayStation Vita, it promises to provide gamers with additional options for enjoying console games beyond the confines of their living room couch.

Although specific information regarding Project Q is still limited, Sony did disclose some enticing details about the device. For starters, it will feature an impressive 8-inch LCD screen capable of delivering a maximum resolution of 1080p at 60 frames per second. This ensures a visually stunning gaming experience on the go. Furthermore, Project Q will incorporate all the remarkable features found in the DualSense wireless controller of the PlayStation 5, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. This integration aims to provide users with a familiar and immersive gameplay experience even while playing on a portable device.

However, it’s important to note that unlike its predecessor, the PlayStation Vita, Project Q will not be able to run games independently. Additionally, utilizing Project Q for remote gameplay will necessitate a high-speed Wi-Fi connection, with a minimum requirement of 5Mbps.
