Super Slow Motion Footage Shows How One Second Can Be Stretched Into an Hour

Super Slow Motion

The Slow Mo Guys host Gavin Free published an interesting video that examines super slow-motion footage and what it would be like if every second endured an hour. He shot high-speed footage at 90,000 frames per second and then played the footage back at 25 fps. This makes each second last an hour, and the results are absolutely cool. We just don’t see the appeal in things like this when they occur in real-time.

Something mathematically magical happens when you shoot at exactly 90,000 frames per second. I you divide that by 25, you get 3600 seconds, which turns out to be exactly 1 hour. 90,000 frames per second played back at 25 stretches one second to be an hour long.
