On the evening of October 7th, SpaceX sent Argentina’s SAOCOM 1A satellite into orbit successfully via their Falcon 9 rocket. The two-stage rocket launched from California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base, giving the people of Los Angeles and the surrounding area an unforgettable light show (and a sonic boom to boot) in the Sunday evening sky.
To cap the triumphant launch, the rocket was able to return to Earth, safely landing not far from the original launch location. All said it was an unbelievable evening for SpaceX and skygazers of Southern California.
