The Reason Behind This Sweet And World’s Smallest McDonald’s

McDonald’s

McDonald’s restaurants in Sweden have beehives on their rooftops for the little insects. This is a great use of space that would otherwise go unused. This very useful initiative started out locally but has turned into a nationwide force.

As more franchisees around the country are following the cause, some have also started substituting the grass around their restaurants with flowers and shrubs that are essential for the wellbeing of wild bees. To celebrate this enterprise, which is part of McDonald’s Sweden’s sustainability work, they made the world’s smallest McDonald’s – a completely functioning beehive.
